Holly Reed - Baltimore County Detention Center

Holly attends Gathered in Glory Church in Annapolis. She serves with unCUFFED at the The Baltimore County Detention Center as a Mentor and Bible Study Leader. She has a heart for encouragement.

What is your favorite Bible verse? Proverbs 3:5-6, Nehemiah 8:10, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” “Then he said to them, “Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Why do you serve with unCUFFED? God placed it on my heart two years ago and I found unCUFFED on Google. I felt God all over it. I want to reach out to and serve the overlooked.

Have you made a special connection with someone inside? Yes, a young lady named Regina whom I mentored inside. She is home now but still struggling mightily with addiction. Please pray for her.

What makes you a succesful volunteer?  Holly has an administrative gift, she is organized and dependable but mostly she knows how to love well!

What will change the climate of violence in Baltimore? People finding their identity in Jesus.

What else do we need to know about you? I just love going inside to share Jesus, seeing people that are down and out but the gatherings provide hope. Seeing inmates grow in Jesus is amazing.
