As I read Jacob’s lies I started to think how similar his thoughts were to my own flawed thinking. We are born a sinful people and only through God’s loving sanctification are we made better. Jacob committed a terrible act and he is paying the price for his choices but God is working in his heart and changing him. Jacob is not beyond redemption, no one is.

Romans 3:20 “Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.”
